First National Bank’s “Wildlife Check” advertising campaign that has been appearing in the Fairbanks Daily News-Miner was awarded a first place at the Pacific Northwest Advertising Executives Exhibit last month in Seattle. ┬áCompetition was keen, with every major newspaper in Oregon, Washington, Idaho and Montana competing. ┬áThe advertising campaign, consisting of six color ads, was the brainchild of Bill Stroecker and Billie Altenberger of First National Bank, with renowned wildlife artist William Berry designing the featured checks and Judith Grahek of the Fairbanks Daily News-Miner executing the advertising layouts.
